“Wahoo” Entry #9
Wahoo Bolt, Roam & Ace Models
Wahoo Bolt, Roam, and Ace Sub-D models (Left to Right).
Previously, I had scanned the latest models of the Wahoo Ace, Bolt, and Roam (Thank you, Trek)! The quality of the scans made them great for reference. If I were to scan them again, I would be interested to see how a large megapixel DSLR would fare. Regardless, it is good that my newly modelled hero assets are optimized.
This was my first time using my photoscans as another visual aid. It was incredibly helpful for both block-outs and refinements. Blueprints and other images help inform edgeflow. This was also my first time implementing subdivision modeling techniques. For these products, it made perfect sense.
Continuing forward, I am using sub-d techniques to tidy up the bike model. My newfound understanding of the products’ form will influence how I procedurally model the “Sea of Simulation” environment.
